What is the normal NT thickness?

From 11 weeks to 13+6 weeks of pregnancy, you will need to go to the hospital for an NT test, which is an ultrasound to measure the thickness of the nuchal translucency. If it is more than 2.5mm, the fetus may have chromosomal abnormality or Down’s syndrome, so a non-invasive DNA test or amniocentesis is needed. However, at this time, the amniocentesis is a bit short for the pregnancy. It is recommended that a non-invasive DNA test can be done, and if the test result is normal, there is not much problem. If there is a problem with the non-invasive test, amniocentesis must still be done. Amniocentesis is the final diagnosis and if the test is not abnormal, the pregnancy can be normal. If the test results are abnormal, you may need to have an induction of labor.
