What are the ways to get rid of scars

Scars are clinically known as keloid scars, and the main methods for removing them include: medication, laser treatment, and surgical excision. 1. Medication: Silicone gel patches are mainly used within six months of scar formation to reduce scarring by inhibiting fibroblast proliferation; intra-scar injections include glucocorticoids, botulinum toxin, etc., which mainly reduce collagen synthesis in the scar and lower inflammatory reactions. 2. Laser treatment: Laser treatment can reduce the blood vessels and pigment in the scar, so that the color of the scar will be reduced, thinned and transformed to normal skin. According to the different types and stages of keloid scar, the type of laser and program will be different, usually use CO2 fractional laser to treat. 3. Surgical excision: large and obvious keloid scars can also be surgically excised, which needs to be done after the scar enters the mature stage, usually about 2 years after the scar is formed. With the current medical treatment, once the scar is formed, it is usually difficult to remove it completely. Specific treatments need to be evaluated by a doctor in consultation with the individual.
