What’s with the shoulder blade pain in the back of the bench press?

Bench press back shoulder blade pain is mainly due to muscle strain, lactic acid accumulation, frozen shoulder and other factors.
1. Muscle strain: when doing bench press, the patient’s posture is not right, such as the shoulder blade is not tightened, the arm is spread too wide, and other reasons lead to excessive pressure on the shoulder joint, soft tissue contusion, especially after a violent impact, scapula pain.
2. Accumulation of lactic acid: some people lack physical exercise for a long time or suddenly have muscle pain after strenuous exercise, too much accumulation of lactic acid, which cannot be metabolized normally through blood circulation, will accumulate in the body, and the symptoms of muscle pain will appear.
3. Frozen shoulder: aseptic inflammation of the soft tissues around the shoulder joint, adhesion and stiffness around the shoulder joint, resulting in pain around the shoulder joint and limitation of activities, especially when lifting and pulling heavy objects, the pain is obvious.
When pain around the shoulder blade occurs during bench press, it is recommended to rest for a few days without strenuous exercise. If the pain persists without relief, there may be other causes of scapular pain, and you should go to the hospital in time to clarify the cause of the disease and target treatment.
