Focus on early treatment of shingles-related pain

Recently, many patients with herpes zoster are often found to have post-herpetic neuralgia, i.e., they present to the hospital only after the development of post-herpetic neuralgia in order to receive timely and standardized analgesic treatment. However, during the acute phase of herpes, these patients often miss the optimal treatment time for pain management.        Many studies have confirmed that the degree of pain during the acute phase of herpes zoster is closely related to the incidence of postherpetic neuralgia and the degree of pain. The more intense the acute pain and the longer the duration of pain, the greater the likelihood that the postherpetic neuralgia will remain in these patients, and the more severe the pain, and the more difficult the clinical treatment becomes. It has been clinically found that if the pain is treated in a timely, effective and standardized manner during the acute phase of herpes, the post-formation neuralgia of such patients will be significantly reduced and the pain level can be significantly reduced.
