Rhabdomyolysis generally does not return to normal on its own, as the disease is not self-limiting. Rhabdomyolysis is a clinical syndrome that represents an abnormal lesion in the cells of the rhabdomyolysis muscle. Rhabdomyolysis is not a self-limiting disease and therefore does not recover on its own. Patients with rhabdomyolysis need to be treated early, as the progression of the disease can lead to kidney damage, and complications such as intravascular coagulation and osteofascial syndrome can occur in later stages. If muscle damage occurs and symptoms such as muscle weakness, darkened urine, and myalgia are suspected, it is advisable to seek medical attention as soon as possible in order to prevent serious complications.
