How to read the blood progesterone report

The blood test progesterone report may vary in value depending on the unit, commonly used is ng/mlmol/ml, ng/ml^3.12 is the value of nmol/ml. The value increases gradually during the non-pregnant period, follicular phase, ovulation and luteal phase, but during the non-pregnant period the progesterone increase will not exceed 15ng/ml at most, after pregnancy the value of progesterone will increase. When testing for early pregnancy, it is not only the progesterone level that determines pregnancy, but mainly the early chorionic gonadotropin level, or HCG level, that determines the chance of pregnancy. If the value of progesterone is higher than 15 ng/ml, the HCG is doubled every other day, which generally means that the progesterone value is normal, and a certain amount of high progesterone is good for maintaining a normal pregnancy. Low progesterone levels in the early stages of pregnancy are often indicative of luteinizing insufficiency.
