Do kids need surgery for circumcision?

If the child’s foreskin is not abnormal, surgery is not needed. If the child has a phimosis, surgery is needed.
In the natural state, the head of the penis is covered by the foreskin and cannot be exposed, and can only be exposed by turning it over with the hand. This condition can easily lead to poor development of the penis in children, and it is also prone to harboring dirt, which can be infected by bacteria and lead to circumcision and glans pharyngitis.
Circumcision is relatively common in children. However, most of them are pseudo-circumcision, and children do not have uncomfortable symptoms, this situation does not need surgery, as the age of growing up, the penis gradually develops, the phenomenon of circumcision will naturally be relieved.
However, if the child has a true phimosis, and the phimosis still exists after puberty, the child will need to undergo surgery, which usually involves circumcision, through which the excessively long foreskin will be removed.
If there are other abnormalities in the child’s foreskin, it is recommended to follow the doctor’s instructions as to whether or not surgery is needed.
