Danshen tablets can be taken together with aspirin, but there are certain risks. Although there is no contraindication for combining the two in the medication instructions, and no reports of interaction between the two have been found in the literature, it may not be possible to determine whether there are toxic side effects for the use of both. However, mechanistically, since both have anti-platelet effects, there is a possibility that the anti-platelet aggregation effect may be enhanced after the use of the drug, resulting in a slightly increased risk of bleeding, and attention must be paid to the risk of bleeding if used together, including bleeding in the brain and other important tissues and organs.
