Differentiation of three degrees of intestinal epithelial hyperplasia

Intestinal epithelial hyperplasia can be categorized into three degrees: mild, moderate and severe, and the difference lies in the amount of intestinal hyperplasia occupying the area of gastric glands and epidermis. And, intestinal metaplasia can also be categorized into three types such as type I, type II and type III. Among them, mild degree is intestinal epithelialization occupying 1/3 of the area of gastric glands and epidermis, moderate degree is intestinal epithelialization occupying 1/3~2/3 of the area of gastric glands and epidermis, and severe degree is intestinal epithelialization occupying more than 2/3 of the area of gastric glands and epidermis. In addition, intestinal epithelial hyperplasia can be divided into type I, type II, and type III; among them, type I belongs to complete intestinal epithelial hyperplasia, in which there are absorptive epithelial cells and cup cells in the epithelium of intestinal hyperplasia; type II is the mixture of incomplete intestinal epithelial hyperplasia with complete intestinal epithelial hyperplasia; and type III is the incomplete intestinal epithelial hyperplasia in which there are only cup cells in the intestinal epithelial hyperplasia. Patients with intestinal epithelialization should actively cooperate with doctors for treatment.
