Why do you get pituitary tumors?

The cause of pituitary tumor is not yet completely cleared, and it may be related to genetic factors, hypothalamic factors, environmental factors and so on.
1. Genetic factors: it may be related to gene mutation, which leads to proliferation of abnormal pituitary cells, thus triggering pituitary tumor. In addition, a small number of pituitary tumors may be hereditary in families.
2. Hypothalamic factors: hormone secretion disorder of hypothalamus, such as adrenocorticotropic hormone-releasing hormone, growth hormone-releasing hormone and other hormone disorders, can cause pituitary tumors together with genetic abnormality of cells.
3. Environmental factors: for example, people who are exposed to radioactive or toxic substances for a long time may increase the chance of pituitary tumor.
For patients who are suspected of having pituitary tumor, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for consultation and actively carry out treatment under the guidance of doctors.
