What does the bivalent vaccine prevent?

The bivalent vaccine is a bivalent HPV vaccine that is used in women to prevent infection of the 2 high-risk types of human papillomavirus, thereby preventing the development of cervical cancer. The bivalent vaccine is indicated for women between the ages of 9 and 45 years old and is effective in preventing infection with the high-risk types of HPV 16 and 18. According to modern research, persistent infection with high-risk HPV types is a major contributing factor to the development of cervical cancer, and HPV types 16 and 18 account for the majority of cervical cancers caused by HPV infection. The bivalent vaccine has a total of three doses and is more effective if given before sexual activity. However, women should be vaccinated under a doctor’s supervision due to their different health conditions.
