Taking Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan does not usually cause burning of the soles of the feet, which may be related to other factors, such as the ambient temperature, individual’s physical condition, suffering from other illnesses and the medication is not right for the patient. Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan is composed of Huang Bai, Shan Yao, Ze Xie Di and other medicines. It has the efficacy of nourishing Yin and lowering fire, and is mainly used for Yin deficiency and fire exuberance, hot flashes and night sweating (sweating abnormally after going to sleep and stopping after waking up), dry mouth and sore throat, tinnitus and spermatorrhea, and short and red urination (small amount of urination with dark yellow color). There are no reports of adverse reactions such as burning of the soles of the feet after taking the medicine. Note that Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan should be used with caution in patients with Qi deficiency and actual fever, patients with cold and flu, patients with spleen deficiency and loose stools, and patients with Qi stagnation and fullness in the middle of the body.
