Atropine can relieve smooth muscle spasm, and a large amount can relieve small blood vessel spasm and improve microcirculation, while inhibiting glandular secretion and relieving the inhibition of the heart by the vagus nerve, resulting in faster heartbeat, dilated pupils, higher intraocular pressure, and excitation of the respiratory center. It is mainly used to relieve visceral colic, including pain caused by gastrointestinal spasm, renal colic, biliary colic, gastric as well as duodenal ulcers, and also for sinus bradycardia and atrioventricular block. Usage, orally 0.3-0.5mg each time, 3 times a day, intramuscular, intravenous, subcutaneous injection is usually 0.5mg. adverse reactions mainly include symptoms such as reduced sweating, blurred vision, skin flushing, and difficulty in urination.
