Conservative treatment is generally recommended for 70-year-olds with scoliosis, such as massage, and oral anti-inflammatory and analgesic medications for patients with pain. 1. Massage: By massaging the spastic or tense muscles and relaxing the peripheral nerves of the spine, the pain and limitation of activities caused by muscle spasm or scoliosis can be effectively relieved. 2. Medication: For the lumbar pain or muscle soreness caused by scoliosis, oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen extended-release capsules, celecoxib capsules and other medications can be effectively relieved, and generally can play an effective role in the treatment of pain symptoms caused by scoliosis. They can also relieve the discomfort associated with joint inflammation or muscle damage that is common in older adults. Since 70-year-olds may have osteoporosis and a decline in immune function, surgery is not recommended, nor is external pressure to minimize the chance of trauma.
