Sanghuang can be consumed as decoction for internal use, or made into pills or powder. It is mainly used for the treatment of hematochezia, hemorrhagia (the appearance of blood in the urine with pain), prolapse of anus and blood in the stool, etc. It should be used in accordance with medical advice. Sanghuang is the substrate of the fungus Firewood Laminaria, which belongs to traditional Chinese medicine, also known as Mulberry Parasite, Mulberry Chen, Mulberry Yellow Mushroom and so on. It has the efficacy of activating blood circulation, stopping bleeding, softening and dispersing knots (softening and dispersing hard lumps), stopping diarrhea, and detoxifying. Clinically, it is mostly used to treat symptoms such as prolapse of anus with blood in the stool, dysmenorrhea, menstrual closure, symptomatic accumulation (the appearance of tangible or intangible lumps in the abdomen with distension and pain), fetid drinking, and diarrhea due to spleen deficiency (diarrhea caused by weak spleen function). Sanghuang adverse reactions and contraindications are not clear, should be under the guidance of a doctor to rationalize the use of drugs.
