What’s wrong with your tongue?

A poorly spoken tongue may be caused by physiological factors such as the consumption of chili peppers, as well as pathological factors such as stuttering and cerebral infarction.
1. Physiological factors: consuming spicy and irritating foods such as chili peppers, peppercorns, peppers, onions, garlic, ginger, etc. may cause irritation to the tongue, which may lead to symptoms such as poor speech and burning sensation of the tongue.
2. Pathological factors:
(1) Stuttering: it is a speech disorder that manifests itself as frequent repetition, prolongation, or jamming of sounds, syllables, or words during speech for more than 3 months. The symptom is common in children and may also occur in adults. Stuttering can be associated with psychological, genetic, environmental, and personality factors.
(2) Cerebral infarction: Ischemic stroke is a disorder of blood circulation in the brain, caused by ischemia and hypoxia, resulting in limited ischemic necrosis or softening of brain tissue. It can be caused by atherosclerosis of large arteries, cardiogenic embolism, occlusion of small arteries, etc. Symptoms such as hemiparesis, aphasia, ataxia, dysarthria, vomiting, coma, and so on, may appear.
It is recommended to consult a doctor for a clear diagnosis and targeted treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
