Does Auditory Integration Training Work for Speech Delays?

Speech delay can be enhanced through auditory training to increase the patient’s ability to pay attention to sound and hearing comprehension, because by listening to some filtered and modulated music, it can correct the disorders of sound processing in the auditory system, stimulate the cerebral cortex to improve the behavioral and emotional disorders, and promote the patient’s ability to develop language.
Specific training methods for speech delay include respiratory training, tongue movement training, articulation training, vocalization training, oral and jaw movement training, etc. Parents should pay more attention to children with speech disorders and encourage them to speak appropriately.
It is recommended that children with speech delay have contact with children of the same age, maintain a good family atmosphere, guide the child to express his/her needs through gestures, and seek medical attention if there is any abnormality to avoid delays.
