What is Dilated Dorsalis Pedis Vein?

Dilated dorsalis pedis veins can be caused by thinness or varicose veins. In some people, the dorsal veins appear to be bulging because they are thin and the location of the dorsal veins is superficial and the subcutaneous fat on the back of the foot is thin, so there is no need to worry about the dilatation of the dorsal veins. However, there are some people who suffer from varicose veins, which are caused by increased pressure in the veins of the lower limbs due to weak elasticity of the vein walls, poor function of the valves, and reflux of blood, leading to varicose veins in the lower limbs, which in turn may lead to dilatation of the dorsal veins of the feet. In case of dilated dorsalis pedis veins, they can be disposed of by avoiding prolonged standing, using compression stockings, etc., but attention needs to be paid to varicose veins of the lower extremities.
