Steps and methods of dressing change include the following: first wash hands, prepare gauze, vitalized iodine cotton balls, dressings, etc., wear sterile gloves, and then carry out dressing change and cover sterile gauze. For aseptic incision, first open the outer dressing of the patient’s wound site, then use the right hand to hold aseptic forceps or tweezers, slowly open the inner dressing, expose the wound and then disinfect the sterile wound with iodophor cotton balls in the order of center to periphery, and observe the wound for any redness, swelling, oozing, pain, oozing and so on, and at the same time, communicate with the patient to see if he/she has any adverse reaction. If the wound is contaminated or infected, disinfect the wound with iodophor cotton balls in the order of periphery to center, and if necessary, use hydrogen peroxide and saline alternately for operation, so that the local area of dressing change can be as clean as possible to promote wound healing. After disinfection, dry the wound with a dry cotton ball, and then cover it with a sterile dressing or gauze. It is recommended to go to a regular hospital for dressing change to avoid causing wound infection.
