Pei Kun Wan is composed of Astragalus, Chen Pi, Licorice, Atractylodes Macrocephala, Bei Sha Shen, Poria, Angelica Sinensis, Ophiopogon, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, Jujubae Nut, Paeonia lactiflora, Radix et Rhizoma Sylvestris, Eucommia Ulmoides, Walnut Kernel, Fenugreek, Ai Charcoal, Longan Meat, Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, Yuan Zhi, Rhizoma Dioscorea Praeparata, Schizandra Chinensis and Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis, and is a small or large black-brown honey pill, with slightly fragrant odor and sweet taste. It has the effect of tonifying qi and blood, nourishing the liver and kidney. Pei Kun Wan is often used for women with blood deficiency, indigestion, irregular menstruation, red and white leucorrhoea (abnormal leucorrhoea with blood or blood clots), cold pain in the abdomen, weakening of qi and blood, and prolonged failure to conceive. It is recommended to take with yellow wine or warm boiled water. It is not recommended for people with depression, stagnation of qi and internal dampness, and the adverse effects are not yet clear.
