Does tenosynovitis produce pain

In the early stages of tenosynovitis, some people simply have a snapping finger, and the finger is fixed and has to be assisted to flex and extend. In the later stages, localized tendinitis, such as radial stenosis, may result in a physical swelling and localized pain at the radial styloid process. The main symptom of tenosynovitis is early on, mainly pain in the morning, which is relieved by activity and slowly develops into a snapping finger. It is most common in the middle finger and index finger, followed by the thumb and index finger, and less common in the little finger. In later stages of radial stenosis tenosynovitis, there will be pain at the radial stenosis and tenosynovitis will be pain at the dorsum of the wrist. With ulnar tenosynovitis, pain will occur on the ulnar side of the wrist joint.
