How to use the new crown self-test kit

New Crown Antigen Self Test Kit, its usage mainly includes pre-test preparation, sample collection, specimen testing and result interpretation.
1. Pre-test preparation: Confirm the validity of the self-test kit and wash your hands; prepare the test items and pour the sample extraction solution into the sample extraction tube.
2. Specimen collection: clean the nose and tilt the head slightly, put the sampling swab into the nostril, slowly advance it to a depth of about 1.5 centimeters, gently rotate it against the mucosa of the nasal cavity for 4 times, and leave it for a period of more than 15 seconds, and then use the same swab to sample the other side of the nostril.
3. Specimen detection: put the collected swab into the extraction tube, squeeze and rotate the swab for 15 seconds, then put the swab into the original bag; put some drops of the extracted sample on the test card; wait for 10 minutes to get the test result, and don’t touch the test card during the period.
4. Interpretation of results: A positive result is a red or purple band at both “C” and “T”. Negative result means only “C” shows a red or purple color band. An invalid result is one that does not show a red or purple band at “C”.
If a new crown is found to be positive, please go to a designated hospital or the CDC for further nucleic acid testing to make a definitive diagnosis, and take good personal protection and isolation measures during the period to avoid adverse consequences.
