Effects and contraindications of Chen Pi

Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae has the effect of regulating qi and strengthening the spleen (regulating qi and strengthening the spleen), drying dampness and resolving phlegm (removing phlegm from the body by drying dampness). It is mainly used for treating stagnation of qi in the spleen and stomach, and stuffiness in the stomach and epigastric region. The contraindications of Chen Pi are not clear.
Chenpi is the ripe fruit peel of the tangerine and its cultivated varieties in the Brassicaceae family. This product is good at regulating qi and dispersing cold, relieving stagnation in the middle, strengthening the intestines and stomach, and facilitating the internal organs, and is the holy medicine for treating stagnation of qi in the spleen and stomach. It can be used for treating various causes of qi stagnation in the spleen and stomach.
If food stagnation (food indigestion and accumulation in the stomach) stagnation of qi, epigastric (abdominal) distension and pain, nausea and anorexia, etc., it can be matched with hawthorn, lycopodium, shenqu and so on.
If the treatment of cold and damp blockage of the middle Jiao caused by the epigastric distension, not think of food, mouth bland and tasteless, Chenpi can be used with Houpu, Cangzhu and so on. It can be used together with Atractylodes macrocephala, Poria, and Codonopsis to treat stuffy stomach and epigastric region and loose stools caused by deficiency of spleen and stagnation of qi. It can also be used for cough with phlegm-dampness, with much phlegm easy to cluck, and cough with cold phlegm, with much clear and thin phlegm.
