How to detect tumors early

To detect tumors at an early stage, we should first pay attention to the small changes in the body, because early tumors often lack obvious symptoms, but these changes are likely to be important clues to detect cancer. The World Health Organization has proposed “eight warning signs” as a reference for people to consider the early signs of tumor. 1. hard nodes or lumps in any part of the body: for example, hard nodes found in breast, skin and tongue, lumps in abdomen, especially those with irregular shape, indicating that they are not smooth and may gradually increase in size, should be paid special attention (such as breast cancer, tongue cancer, skin cancer, liver cancer may show the above symptoms); 2. obvious changes in warts or moles: such as malignant melanoma; 3. persistent digestive abnormalities: may be accompanied by progressive wasting, poor appetite (such as stomach cancer, liver cancer, etc.); 4. Poor appetite (e.g. stomach cancer, liver cancer); 4. Persistent hoarseness: such as lung cancer, laryngeal cancer, dry cough (e.g. lung cancer) and difficulty in swallowing (e.g. esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, pharyngeal cancer), burning, pain and foreign body sensation behind the sternum after eating, which may progressively worsen (e.g. esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, pharyngeal cancer); 5. Menstrual abnormalities: heavy bleeding, extra-menstrual bleeding, abnormal and increased vaginal secretions, especially in middle-aged and elderly women ( 6.Unexplained bleeding from nose, ear, bladder or intestine: such as nasopharyngeal cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, prostate cancer, colorectal cancer; 7.Wound persistently not healing: especially wounds that occur on their own without trauma, swelling persistently does not subside (such as skin cancer, oral cancer, testicular cancer); 8.Unexplained weight loss: recent persistent weight loss is a common symptom of most tumor common symptoms of patients (e.g. liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, lung cancer, esophageal cancer, gastric cancer). However, many tumors are already in the middle and late stages when symptoms appear. How to detect tumors when the body is still asymptomatic? Regular physical examination is an important way to detect tumors at an early stage. Physical examinations are often months to years ahead of symptoms to detect tumors. The main physical examination items include: chest X-ray, ultrasound (abdomen, pelvis), electrocardiogram, liver and kidney function, tumor markers, routine blood, routine urine, routine stool + occult blood test, and routine gynecological examination for women.
