What’s this hard lump under my mouth?

A hard lump under the mouth may be related to acne, boils, sebaceous cysts and other causes.
1. Acne: Overproduction of sebaceous glands due to factors such as high androgen levels can cause blockage of the glandular openings in the skin underneath the mouth, resulting in the appearance of hard bumps.
2. Boils: Localized inflammatory reaction caused by infection of individual hair follicles in the skin under the mouth by purulent bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, which may appear as red, swollen, hot and painful small hard nodules in the form of conical bumps.
3. Sebaceous cysts: The sebum secreted by the sebaceous glands fails to be discharged normally and accumulates in the mouth of the glands, resulting in the formation of localized elevated cysts.
It is recommended that those who have a hard lump underneath their mouths go to the hospital in time to clarify the cause of the disease and have standardized treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
