Why is psoriasis (psoriasis) prone to recurrence?

Psoriasis is a chronic disease with a long course. Although the underlying cause of the disease is not clear, it has been largely established that psoriasis is closely related to the genetic background and is a multifactorial genetic disease. Psoriasis occurs as a result of individual genetic predisposition, coupled with a number of acquired predisposing factors. Many factors can contribute to the occurrence and recurrence of psoriasis. 1, trauma factors: more than 100 years ago it was found that skin trauma can induce the occurrence of psoriasis lesions. And call this phenomenon “isomorphic reaction” phenomenon. Physical and chemical factors on the epidermis damage often occurs, sometimes they do not notice. 2, infection factors: some patients repeatedly occur in the upper respiratory tract infection, resulting in repeated attacks of psoriasis, repeatedly aggravated. 3, mental factors: psoriasis is one of the diseases closely related to mental factors. Drastic changes in emotions and significant increase in mental stress will not only induce psoriasis, but also contribute to recurrent psoriasis. 4, dietary factors: addiction to tobacco and alcohol, over-eating beef and mutton may also be factors that cause the recurrence of the disease. 5, drug factors: the frequent use of some drugs for the treatment of multiple diseases and common diseases in daily life can also contribute to the recurrence of psoriasis, such as lithium, anti-inflammatory pain, corticosteroids, some anti-arrhythmic drugs such as insulin. Some drugs that are suspected to cause psoriasis attacks, such as digoxin, potassium iodide, procaine, salicylic acid, colistin, penicillin, tetracycline, sulfonamides, etc., have been reported by individuals. The dermatitis triggered by drug allergy is also a damage to the skin, which also triggers “isomorphic reaction” affecting the psoriasis condition. 6, sunlight factors: most psoriasis patients are beneficial to the exposure to the right amount of ultraviolet light. There are very few patients who have skin lesions or aggravate the original skin lesions after exposure to ultraviolet light. 7, endocrine factors: someone abroad did a survey and found that the highest incidence of psoriasis in two age stages, one is in adolescence, one is in menopause. These two periods are both periods of endocrine activity in the human body, prone to endocrine disorders. People also find that changes in sex hormones in the human body, such as menstruation and pregnancy, can also affect the recurrence of psoriasis. These factors are very common in our daily life and affect our life all the time. It is not easy to completely avoid the influence of these factors, so to prevent the recurrence of the disease, it is often necessary to persistently exercise oneself, fully understand the various factors that trigger psoriasis, learn to adjust one’s own rhythm and habits of life, improve cultural quality and cultivate a noble ideology.
