What’s inside the vagina

The vagina is a cavernous passage, it is made of mucous membrane, muscular layer and hymenium, it is very elastic. The vaginal mucosa is rich in folds, blood vessels and nerves. At the deepest part of the vagina is connected to the uterus, where the cervix can be seen, and a ring-like membrane, the hymen, is located closer to the vaginal opening. If you don’t pay attention to hygiene, you will easily get infected with some diseases. Pathogens can also cause upstream infections through the vagina, causing inflammation of the uterus and adnexa.
