Dizziness as soon as you stand up: First, consider postural hypotension, which is mainly due to autonomic dysfunction in patients with postural hypotension. It is usually seen in people who are weak and have low blood pressure in general. The main manifestation is that when standing up suddenly from a sitting or lying position, the blood pressure can fall by more than 20 mmHg and cause cerebral hypoperfusion, which can be manifested as dizziness, panic, nausea, vomiting, balance disorders and ataxia, etc. In severe cases, the patient will experience transient loss of consciousness. Therefore, patients should usually pay attention to slow down when getting up from the prone or sitting position, so as to avoid the occurrence of postural hypotension. Secondly, cervical or cerebral vascular aura causes cerebral ischemic attack when standing, such as subclavian artery steal syndrome. Third, migraine can be converted to various types of dizziness and vertigo after several years, i.e. vestibular migraine, which is considered to be the second cause of vertigo besides otoliths, and can present with dizziness and vertigo, such as positional vertigo, which occurs after a change in position, and various other types of dizziness and vertigo, such as spontaneous vertigo, head movement vertigo, and vertigo induced by large scenes.
