In this day and age, cancer deaths rank first among all causes of death, and the incidence rate is generally on the rise. Although biotherapy and gene therapy for tumors have been quietly kicked off, and it is believed that molecular targeted therapy may be an important turning point for mankind to overcome cancer, it is expected that there will not be a significant decrease in the incidence and mortality of tumors in the next few decades. The road for human beings to overcome cancer is still very long and winding, and it requires the joint efforts of knowledgeable people who love life. From a macro point of view, cancer treatment now mainly consists of integrated treatment including surgery, radiotherapy and drugs, as well as psychological interventions. Each of these treatment measures makes an important contribution to the treatment of cancer, and colleagues in Western medicine have already recognized the importance of integrated treatment and begun to break down professional barriers. The important role of TCM in the treatment of cancer has been recognized by a number of the country’s top Western medical experts and is gradually becoming an important growth point in improving anti-cancer efficacy. Due to administrative and geographical restrictions, as well as the limitations of strategic thinking, at present, although there are a few “national teams” of TCM anti-cancer teams, and there are organizations such as the Oncology Committee of the World Federation of Societies of Traditional Chinese Medicine (WFTCM) and the Oncology Branch of the Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CSTCM), the whole TCM anti-cancer team is still a wandering army, and the “scientific development concept” of TCM anti-cancer has not yet been formed. So far, the author thinks that the TCM oncology sector needs to establish TCM anti-cancer alliance very urgently at present, on the basis of correct understanding of the situation and finding out the problems, to grasp the opportunities, to innovate the big ideas, to condense the big projects, to realize the big union, to achieve the big results, among which the most important thing is to integrate the strength of TCM anti-cancer and to put the work into practice, firstly, according to the research method of the evidence-based medicine, combining with the experience of the famous and old Chinese medicine practitioners, to prepare the guide of TCM anti-cancer and to keep on developing the “scientific development concept”. First of all, according to the research method of evidence-based medicine, combining with the experience of famous and old Chinese doctors, we will prepare the guidebook of Chinese medicine against cancer and update it constantly, so as to lay the foundation for further development of Chinese medicine against cancer. For the sake of the new breakthrough of Chinese medicine against tumors, for the welfare of the majority of tumor patients, we earnestly hope that the knowledgeable people in the Chinese medicine and tumor field will support and organize it, we earnestly hope that the government will support it, and we earnestly hope that the majority of patients will support it!
