Sudden chest congestion for a second or two need to identify the cause, may be physiological, may also be pathologic. Physiological generally do not need special treatment, pathologically caused by the need for targeted treatment under the guidance of a doctor, such as drug therapy, surgical treatment.
1. Physiological: such as strenuous exercise, emotional excitement, etc., may lead to sympathetic excitation, resulting in transient chest tightness.
2.Pathologic:
(1) Coronary heart disease may appear for a few seconds or even ten minutes of chest tightness, often accompanied by palpitations, shortness of breath and so on. Commonly used drugs include nitroglycerin and other nitrate-lipid drugs, aspirin and other antithrombotic drugs, metoprolol and other selective beta 1 receptor blockers, amlodipine and other calcium channel blockers. Interventional therapy or surgery can also be considered when necessary.
(2) Patients with pneumothorax commonly experience sudden chest pain on one side (of short duration), followed by chest tightness and dyspnea, which may be accompanied by irritating cough. Conservative treatment may be considered, as well as exhaust treatment such as thoracentesis and aspiration, closed chest drainage, etc. Surgical treatment may be considered if necessary.
In addition to the above reasons, it may also be caused by other factors. It is recommended that if physiological reasons are ruled out, timely consultation should be made, so that the doctor can clarify the cause of the disease and give targeted treatment.
