Since the reform and opening up, cosmetic surgery in China has flourished, with the most performed procedures being double eyelids, rhinoplasty and eye bags. Since most Asians have low and flat nasal bridges, nasal surgery is often done to elevate the nose, and the materials chosen are safe, hard and affordable solid silicone. Decades of data have proven that silicone materials do stand the test of time and maintain form well as well as have a very good safety profile. As a result, silicone is still, by far, one of the preferred artificial materials for plastic surgery.
