What is peripheral vasculopathy in thromboembolic vasculitis?

Thromboembolic vasculitis mainly affects the middle and small arteries and veins of the distal extremities, and pathologically it is characterized by infiltrative thrombi of inflammatory cells, but less often by involvement of the vessel wall. The cause of the disease is mostly due to long-term smoking, cold and infection, hormone secretion abnormalities and other causes of the symptoms, need to correspond to the treatment. 1. Long-term smoking: Because tobacco contains a lot of nicotine, nicotine and other substances, which can cause vasoconstriction, 80% to 95% of the patients with this disease have a history of smoking, and quitting smoking can improve the condition. 2. Cold and infection: the disease is mostly found in humid areas in the north, because peripheral vasoconstriction in wet and cold environments, accompanied by mycobacterial infections, leads to the elevation of intravascular fibrinogen, which can easily cause vasculitis. 3. Hormone secretion abnormality: patients are mostly young men, most likely with androgen elevation, prostate dysfunction, caused by vasodilatation disorder. In addition, there are theories that the disease and vascular neuromodulation disorders, immune abnormalities. The disease mostly involves the small and medium-sized arteries and veins of the lower limbs, and the main clinical manifestations include coldness and abnormal sensation of the lower limbs, pain, intermittent claudication, resting pain, and pale skin color, etc. Some patients may be congenital. Some patients may belong to congenital vascular lesions, or have family hereditary factors, which may also cause vascular occlusion. Patients with thromboembolic vasculitis are treated under medical supervision.
