Hazards after laparoscopic surgery

The main hazards after laparoscopic surgery are extraperitoneal emphysema, vascular injury, organ injury, postoperative infection and so on. 1. Extraperitoneal emphysema: it is the most common complication, and its location and degree vary according to the cause of occurrence, high and low pneumoperitoneum pressure, and the length of the operation. 2. Vascular injury: during laparoscopic surgery, the retroperitoneal abdominal aorta may be damaged, resulting in vascular injury and bleeding. 3. Organ injury:such as gastrointestinal tract injury patients can appear after surgery, acute abdominal pain, or nausea, vomiting, fever, abdominal pressure, rebound pain, muscle tension, heart rate acceleration and other symptoms only a few days after the operation; patients with urinary tract injuries can appear a few days after the operation, abdominal pain, fever, intra-abdominal fluid, hematuria and other manifestations; nerve injuries can be numbness of the lower limbs. 4. Postoperative infection:Laparoscopic surgical incision infection rate often occurs in the umbilical port site incision, manifested as local oozing, or postoperative pelvic infection. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the observation after laparoscopy, and follow the doctor’s instructions to be treated accordingly.
