Does inactive sperm mean dead sperm?

The lack of sperm motility does not necessarily mean dead sperm. Sperm motility reflects the ability of sperm to move, and is usually categorized into four levels: A, B, C, and D. A is fast forward-moving sperm, B is slow or sluggish forward-moving sperm, C is non-forward-moving sperm, and D is immobile sperm, and the sperm motility rate is the sum of the percentages of sperm in levels A+B+C. Sperm are inactive part of the time there is still a function present, dead sperm is the sperm loss of normal power or function. Therefore, inactive sperm does not necessarily mean dead sperm.
