Contact bleeding may be related to cervical inflammation and organic diseases of the cervix. If contact bleeding is caused by cervical inflammation, it can be treated with oral cefixime and azithromycin; if contact bleeding is caused by organic diseases of the cervix, such as cervical polyps, cervical cancer and submucosal fibroids, surgical treatment is needed.
1. 2. Cervical polyps, cervical cancer and uterine submucosal leiomyoma: they can also cause contact bleeding, which can be diagnosed through history, gynecological examination, ultrasonography, cervical cytology and cervical biopsy. In this case, if the treatment is ineffective by taking medication, surgical treatment is needed as prescribed by the doctor, and the excised tissues should be sent for pathologic examination.
In cases of contact bleeding, prompt hospitalization is required to identify the cause and deal with it aggressively.
