What does it mean to have microscopic nodules in both lungs?

Bilateral pulmonary micronodules are nodular lesions less than 1cm in diameter on imaging. Lung micronodules are mostly benign lesions, and the etiology may be related to previous lung infections, air pollution, smoking and so on. However, the possibility of malignant nodules cannot be ruled out. It is recommended to consult a doctor for disease evaluation and differentiation when small lung nodules are found, and early detection of malignant nodules can stop the progression of the disease in time. In general, the lung nodules can be evaluated according to whether they are increasing in size and growth rate, and a biopsy of the lung nodules can also be taken for pathologic differentiation to clarify the disease condition. Tiny lung nodules are generally benign lesions with mild symptoms that do not affect the quality of life.
