Five Signs of Early Nasopharyngeal Cancer

There is no such thing as the so-called five major signals of nasopharyngeal cancer in early stage. Nasopharyngeal cancer mainly manifests as bloody nasal discharge, headache, nasal congestion, abnormal hearing and neck mass. 1. Bloody nasal mucus: blood in nasal mucus after waking up in the morning or blood in nasal mucus sucked out of the mouth, which is usually in small amount and can be easily neglected. 2. Headache: mainly migraine, cranial parietal occipital and cervical pain, which is usually related to the invasion of cancer cells into bone, nerve and blood vessel at the base of the skull. 3. Nasal congestion: unilateral nasal congestion is more common, and bilateral nasal congestion may also occur with the enlargement of tumor. 4. Hearing abnormality: mainly manifested as tinnitus, stuffy ears, hearing loss, etc. This symptom is usually related to the blockage of the Eustachian tube on the affected side by the tumor. 5. Neck mass: the mass can be touched in the neck, i.e. enlarged lymph nodes, with hard texture, poor mobility, and fused with each other to form a mass. Therefore, when the above symptoms occur, attention should be paid to them, and it is recommended to consult a doctor as soon as possible to find out the cause, so as to avoid the worsening of the condition due to delayed treatment.
