A lot of spots on the face usually refer to freckles, chloasma and seborrheic keratosis, and general treatment, drug treatment and laser treatment can be chosen according to the cause of the disease.
1. Freckles: they are found on the face, and the typical lesions are light brown to brown pinpoint to rice grain size spots. Patients need to avoid sunshine and use sunscreen when going out. It can also be treated by Q-switched ruby laser with wavelength of 694nm, alexandrite laser with wavelength of 755nm or IPL, and patients should pay attention to avoiding light after operation.
2. Melasma: a symmetrical yellow-brown pigmentation spot on the face, common in young and middle-aged women. Fruit acid skin resurfacing and photorejuvenation can be chosen, and topical medications such as 2%~5% hydroquinone cream and 15%~20% azelaic acid cream can inhibit tyrosinase activity and reduce pigmentation; glutathione, tranexamic acid and vitamin C can also be taken orally.
3. Seborrheic keratosis: mostly seen in the elderly, the lesions are 1 or several yellowish or light brown, slightly higher than the skin surface of the flat papules or plaques. Generally do not need treatment, if necessary, cryotherapy, laser or electrocautery; or surgical excision and histopathological examination to confirm the diagnosis.
