“Cystic ovarian nodules are simply cystic masses on the ovaries. 1. These cystic masses may be a sign of polycystic ovary syndrome. They can be seen as multiple cystic nodules on unilateral or bilateral ovaries during ultrasonography.2. They can also be benign ovarian tumors, which usually do not change significantly over time.3. Tubo-ovarian cysts: a manifestation of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. Patients have no obvious clinical symptoms, or they experience distension and discomfort in the lumbosacral and lower abdomen. For ovarian cystic nodules that have been clearly identified as pathologic cysts, appropriate treatment for the primary disease is usually required to be considered. For solitary ovarian cystic nodules less than 3 cm, they can be temporarily left untreated, with regular review and observation of the development of the disease.
