When pain occurs on one side of the abdomen, it is important to consider different diseases depending on the location. If there is pain on the left side of the abdomen and it is very intense in nature, consider that it may be caused by urinary stones, commonly left-sided kidney stones or ureteral stones, and the patient will experience nausea, vomiting and blood in the urine. If the patient has pain in the right lower abdomen with nausea and vomiting, fixed pressure pain and rebound pain in the right lower abdomen, consider acute appendicitis, which is caused by inflammation of the appendix after bacterial infection and the increase of surrounding fluid, which can lead to the stimulation of the abdominal wall and the formation of acute peritonitis, requiring laparoscopic appendectomy. If the patient has vague pain in the right side of the abdomen, and has a long history of illness, weight loss, increased frequency of stool, sometimes accompanied by black stool, it should be considered that it may be colon tumor or cecum tumor, which needs to be diagnosed by colonoscopy and combined with abdominal CT examination, and after diagnosis, radical tumor surgery is needed.
