Nasopharyngoscopy is a relatively short examination, taking no more than 5 minutes to complete. However, some patients are afraid of nasopharyngoscopy, and they have deviated nasal septum, rhinitis, sinusitis, blocking the nasal olfactory tract, which will cause discomfort, blockage and pain in the nose under nasopharyngoscopy, and they will not cooperate and so on. Therefore, before doing the examination, it can be sprayed with dicaine as well as furosemide nasal drops. First, surface anesthesia reduces the pain and discomfort when entering the nasopharynx; second, furame nasal drops improve nasal ventilation and expand the passage into the nasopharynx. Therefore, there may be preoperative adjunctive treatment, which usually takes less than half an hour.
