Gallbladder stones are often treated with laparoscopic cholecystectomy, but not usually with biliary lithotripsy. Biliary lithotripsy is not recommended for the following two reasons. Biliary lithotripsy does not remove the cause of gallbladder stones, nor does it remove the site of gallbladder stone formation – i.e., the gallbladder, the recurrence rate of gallbladder stones is still high; ② biliary lithotripsy will damage the gallbladder wall, resulting in gallbladder perforation, bile leakage and other complications. For patients with gallbladder stones with surgical indications, laparoscopic cholecystectomy is the most commonly used treatment, which has the advantages of small injury, fast recovery, mild pain, small scar, and so on, and there will be no recurrence of gallbladder stones after surgery, and cholecystectomy will not cause serious harm to the patient. Patients with gallbladder stones should go to the hospital in time, improve the examination, and choose the appropriate treatment under the guidance and advice of the doctor.
