Causes of sudden lumbar spine pain

The sudden onset of lumbar spine pain is related to the following causes: i. There may be lumbar spine related injuries, such as fractures of the vertebral body or attachments. As a result of a direct violent blow to the lumbar spine, or damage from indirectly transmitted violence. The former is seen when the patient has a direct blow to the lumbar region, or when the lumbar region is struck by other hard objects during a fall. The latter is seen when the patient falls from a height or lands on the hip during a fall, resulting in a longitudinal injury to the spine. Second, there may be degenerative lesions of the lumbar spine, and sudden onset of the situation. This type of disease includes osteophytes of the lumbar spine, hypertrophy and calcification of the ligaments, or protrusion of the intervertebral discs. After accumulating to a certain extent, the above diseases may induce sudden pain around the lumbar spine. Third, there may be osteoporosis, which is common in the elderly. The onset of this type of patients will show pain around the lumbar spine without any precipitating factors, and may be accompanied by severe weakness of the lower back and lower limbs. In addition, the disease may be accompanied by pathological fractures of the lumbar spine, which may cause sudden pain in the lumbar spine.
