What is the treatment for enuresis?

Urinary incontinence refers to the inability of the patient to discharge urine, usually requires indwelling catheterization. If it is related to urethral stones, lithotripsy and other treatments are needed; if it is caused by tumors, resection of tumors and other etiological treatments are needed. 1. Emergency treatment: Urinary incontinence requires immediate medical attention for indwelling catheterization or suprapubic cystocentesis in order to drain the excess urine from the bladder. 2. Etiologic treatment (1) Urethral calculi. If urinary incontinence is caused by urethral stones, the stones can be surgically removed, accompanied by urinary tract infection, oral amoxicillin and other antibiotics for treatment. (2) Urethral tumor. It is mainly treated by surgical removal of tumor and combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. If it is not possible to unblock the urethra immediately or perform urethral surgery for treatment, and the urinary retention is very obvious, suprapubic cystostomy can be performed to drain the urine from the bladder. When suffering from urinary incontinence, the cause of the disease should be clarified under the guidance of a doctor, active treatment, and medication should be applied according to the doctor’s instructions.
