CA125 is a tumor marker in gynecology, and is used clinically to diagnose and judge ovarian cancer, as well as its post-operative treatment effect and whether it recurs. However, CA125 is not a very precise indicator because it can also be high in cases of ovarian chocolate cysts, endometriosis, peritoneal inflammation, liver cirrhosis, benign tumors, pelvic tuberculosis and so on. Therefore, if a woman finds that CA125 is high and higher than the normal level, she cannot be sure that she has ovarian cancer, so she should not be overly panic, but should be further examined under the guidance of her doctor.
