Baclofen tablets are mainly skeletal muscle relaxants, and its mechanism of action is not very clear yet, probably interfering with excitatory neurobaclofen transmitter release and inhibiting spinal cord inter-synaptic transmission. This drug is mainly used to improve spastic symptoms of increased muscle tone caused by damage to the pyramidal fasciculus, spastic hemiplegia and paraplegia from different causes, such as multiple sclerosis, cerebrovascular disease, sequelae of spinal cord injury and myelitis, childhood cerebral palsy, tetanus, refractory ergocele. Improves recurrent vomiting in patients with myotonic dystrophy presenting with duodenal obstruction. Relieves trigeminal neuralgia, post-herpetic neuralgia, and improves muscle tonicity following extrapyramidal damage, such as Parkinson’s disease, delayed-onset dyskinesia, and mild improvement of chorea. After intravenous injection, it can reduce residual urine in paraplegics.
