Cefixime is a very common oral antibiotic, belonging to the third generation of cephalosporins, which can kill bacteria and treat bacterial infections, and can be used by adults and children. The dosage of Cefixime tablets is 0.1g twice daily for children weighing over 30kg, and 1.5-3mg/kg twice daily for children weighing under 30kg, which can be increased or decreased according to the child’s age, weight and severity of the disease. For children with more serious infection, the dose can be increased to 6mg/kg per dose, also twice daily. For adults, the usual dosage is 0.1g twice a day, which can be increased or decreased according to the severity of the disease; for more serious infections, the dosage can be increased to 0.4g per day, or divided into two doses of 0.2g each time.
