What’s wrong with drinking water and having it go back up?

The cause of water regurgitation after drinking water may be caused by drinking too much water, too cold water, reflux esophagitis and other reasons.
1. Drinking too much water: If the human body takes in too much water at one time, it will increase the pressure in the stomach, which may cause the water to return to the esophagus through the cardia port, causing water to return upwards.
2. Water is too cold: drinking too cold water in summer may stimulate gastrointestinal spasms and cause water retention.
3. Reflux esophagitis: Inflammatory lesions of the esophagus caused by the reflux of gastric and duodenal contents into the esophagus and the destruction of the anti-reflux barrier can lead to upward reflux of water after drinking.
There may be other reasons for water regurgitation after drinking, such as esophageal cancer, etc. If the above symptoms are not relieved, or accompanied by other symptoms, you should go to the hospital in time, and give targeted treatment after clarifying the cause.
