Metronidazole gel is not usually used for the treatment of blackheads.
Blackheads, also known as blackhead pimples, are one of the clinical manifestations of acne. Metronidazole gel is an anti-anaerobic drug, mainly used for the treatment of rosacea pustules, or inflammatory papules caused by anaerobic infections, this drug does not have the effect of treating blackheads, so it can not be used to remove blackheads. However, if inflammatory papules caused by anaerobic infections are present at the site of blackheads and pimples, metronidazole gel can usually be used to alleviate the condition.
