After the lumbar nerve root is compressed, the patient may show symptoms such as low back pain, pain and numbness in the lower limbs, muscle atrophy, and bowel and bladder disorders.
If the lumbar intervertebral disc causes the nerves around the disc to be compressed, then the patient may have the symptom of lumbago, which may be accompanied by numbness in the buttocks, or radiating pain in the buttocks.

If the cauda equina nerve is compressed by lumbar spine disease, the patient may experience numbness and pain in the lower limbs, and in severe cases, weakness and muscle atrophy in the lower limbs, etc. Some patients may exhibit urinary and defecation disorders, such as constipation, difficulty in urination, incontinence and other symptoms.
Lumbar nerve root compression may also appear some other symptoms, depending on which nerve is compressed, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner, and actively cooperate with the doctor’s examination and treatment, in order to help ease the recovery as soon as possible.
